TAMPA, Fla. - The MIT sailing team earned a 14th-place finish at the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Women's Fleet Race Championship. 

SEMIFINALS: 

• On day one, MIT sat in 10th with a total of 109 points. The 'A' Division boat of Brooke Barry and Christine Keedy Brown totaled 51 points for ninth while Karya Basaraner and Sophia Woodbury had the 'B' Division Boat in 10th with 58 points. 
• MIT made moves on day two to secure a top-nine finish and spot in the championship. MIT finished eighth overall with 164 points, just two behind George Washington for seventh.  
• The 'A' Division boat finished ninth with 90 points, finishing in the top-10 in seven of 10 races with a best finish of third. The 'B' Division boat placed seventh with 74 points as Basaraner and Woodbury earned eight-top 10 finishes and wrapped up the event with four-straight top-five finishes.  

FINALS: 

• MIT opened day one in 12th overall with 123 points. Barry and Keedy Brown were in 10th in the 'A' Division after day one while Basaraner, Woodbury, Emma Wang and Layla Bursor had 72 points in the 'B' Division to finish 14th.  
• After multiple pauses due to lack of wind, the championship concluded with Stanford winning the title and the Engineers finishing 14th with 258 points. 
• Barry, Keedy Brown, and Kaitlyn Beaver finished 11th with 126 points as they collected six top-10 finishes, with a best finish of third. In the 'B' Division, Basaraner, Woodbury, Wang, Bursor, and Alice Dunning took 13th with 132 points, collecting four top-ten finishes, highlighted by a second-place finish.
