Karenna Groff (Weston, Mass.) scored twice, and junior
Meagan Rowlett (Dana Point, Calif.) added a goal and two assists as the No. 6 MIT women's soccer team powered past Bridgewater St., 3-0, on the road on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT took a quick lead early in the first half on goals from Groff and Rowlett. Rowlett sent a pass into Groff who converted for her second goal of the year in the eighth minute. Just 75 seconds later Rowlett made it a two-score game on an unassisted goal.

- Groff put the game out of reach in the 57th minute as she took another Rowlett pass and tucked the ball into the right post to extend the Engineers' lead to 3-0.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Senior goaltenders
Lauren Castle (Ridgefield, Conn.) and
Ava Gillikin (Flemington, NJ) combined for the shutout. Castle notched her first win on the season as she made one first-half save.

- Groff now has three goals on the season to give her 44 for her career, which ranks third all-time in program history. The program record is 52 held by
Amy Ludlum. Her 108 points place her fourth all-time in team history.

- Rowlett and Groff are tied for the team lead with six points each.

- Head coach
Martin Desmarais is just three wins shy of 200 career victories.

- MIT outshot the Bears 23-2 and held a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.
