- The Lead: After a scoreless first quarter, No. 20 MIT found the back of the cage in each of the remaining frames en route to a 3-0 victory over the University of New England in a non-conference field hockey game on Saturday afternoon. Senior Paige Forester (Glencoe, Ill.) recorded a goal and an assist while first-year Bailey McIntyre (Concord, Mass.) earned a pair of assists for the Engineers.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
 
- Forester opened the scoring when she connected on a feed from McIntyre following a penalty corner just over five minutes into the second quarter. In the 35th minute, McIntyre set up first-year Marissa Liu (Chesterfield, Mo.) for her first intercollegiate marker. Senior Erica Radler (Wayne, N.J.) provided the final goal when redirected Forester's strike just as it was crossing the goal line with 4:07 left to play.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 
- Sophomore goalie Anna Duncan (St. Louis, Mo.) made two saves in the first shutout of her career.
 
- The Engineers led the way in shots (21-3), shots on goal (10-2), and penalty corners (14-2).
