THE BASICS:

- Score: Chatham - 8, No. 17 MIT - 1

- Records: MIT (7-6); Chatham (6-3)

- Location: Annapolis, MD (Prager Family Squash Facility)

- The Lead: On the opening day of the Navy Round Robin, the No. 17 MIT squash team dropped an 8-1 decision to Chatham on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Junior Nikhil Kakarla (Philadelphia, Pa.) toughed out a five-set match in the sixth slot with an 11-6 victory in the final set.

- First-year Hyun Su Price (Philadelphia, Pa.) lost the first set in the third ladder and rebounded to win the next two, but Muhammad Hassaan Raza held on to take a 3-2 win.

- In the fifth position, first-year Bobby Albani (Newtown Square, Pa.) forced a decisive fifth set but fell by an 11-7 score.

UP NEXT:

- The Engineers are back on the courts tomorrow, Saturday, January 28th for day two of the Navy Round Robin. MIT will play a 12 p.m. match against No. 13 Western Ontario.
