Records: No. 14 MIT (16-3-1, 10-1 NEWMAC), Emerson (9-6-2, 7-2-2 NEWMAC)

- Location: Boston, Mass. (Rotch Field)

- The Lead: The No. 14 MIT women's soccer team picked up its 10th NEWMAC victory of the year with a clean sweep of Emerson College on Saturday afternoon, taking down the Lions 3-0. The win marked the seventh conference shutout of the season and 11th overall in the team's final regular season game of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Senior Meagan Rowlett (Dana Point, Calif.) started off the scoring for the Engineers in the 38th minute of action with the lone first half goal. She was assisted by first-year Katherine Ruan (Naperville, Ill.) on the goal. It marked the 11th goal of the season for Rowlett and first helper of the year for Ruan.

- Junior Natalie Barnouw (Los Angeles, Calif.) added an insurance goal for MIT in the 53rd minute of action to get the second half scoring going. Junior Ashley English (Sheboygan, Wis.) came through on the assist, her fourth of the season. Barnouw's goal marked her ninth of the year.

- English finished out the day with a strike, her sixth goal of the season to seal the victory in the 58th minute of action.

- MIT netminder senior Morgan Everett (Danville, Pa.) faced just a single shot on goal on the day in 90 minutes of action, making the save to keep the shutout.

- Emerson's goalie Amara Schaub (Torrance, Calif.) was tested all day, facing seven shots on goal, allowing three and stopping four.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- MIT's 10th conference victory of the season marked the first time the Engineers have finished with 10 conference wins since a 10-0 conference season in 2019.

- Rowlett has now netted at least 11 goals for the third-straight season.

- With the win, Everett improves to 15-3-1 on the season, the first 15 game winner for the Engineers since Ava Gillikin in 2019.

- MIT held a 10-6 advantage in shots, and 7-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Engineers also led 7 corners to 4.
