HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Wheaton came out strong offensively as the Lyons controlled the opening moments of the first half. Kate Wickenheisser put a shot on goal that senior Morgan Everett (Danville, Pa.) turned away.

- Just over three minutes later, senior Meagan Rowlett (Dana Point, Calif.) took advantage of a
misplay on the ball by Wheaton and rifled a shot into the corner of the goal to put MIT up 2-0.

- MIT increased its lead to 3-0 when junior Natalie Barnouw (Los Angeles, Calif.) gathered the ball off a throw-in and got a shot past Patricia Bandrup at 20:43.

- Chen scored her second goal off a corner by Barnouw at 28:14 to give the Engineers a four-goal lead.

- Luk sent a pass to senior Lexi Spinetta (Austin, Texas) who found the ball in front of the goal and put a shot into the back of the cage at 59:34 to increase the MIT lead to five.

- Rowlett set up first year Macy Lehrer (Danville, Calif.) for her second goal of the year at 82:18 as Rowlett sent the ball right to the foot of Lehrer who tapped the ball into the net.
