HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The two teams traded first-quarter scores as Arsen Shtefan scored up the middle from four yards out for the Pride for the 7-0 edge with 5:48 left in the period. MIT got on the board in the final minute of the opening quarter when junior Nico Bulhof (Bryan, Texas) converted a 34-yard field goal to pull the Engineers within 7-3.

- In the second, Springfield quarterback Jacob Silvester scored on a nine-yard TD run off the left side to cap an 11-play, 65-yard drive. Christian Hutra booted a 51-yard field goal as time expired in the first half and it was the Pride heading to the locker room up 17-3.

- Blane Hart added to the Springfield lead on a three-yard TD midway through the third quarter before MIT found the end zone to pull within 24-10. On the Engineer touchdown, sophomore Chase Harmon (West Linn, Ore.) found first-year Keegan Doody (Eastchester, N.Y.) for an over-the-shoulder catch in the left side of the end zone for his first TD catch of the season.

- Springfield sealed the game in the fourth as Joseph Cannizzaro scored up the middle from 20 yards out, along with a 54-yard scoring run up the far sideline by Silvester to account for the 38-10 margin.
