The Lead: The MIT squash team dropped just five sets as the Engineers completed their fourth 9-0 win as they defeated Brown University on Tuesday night on the Zesiger Center Squash Courts.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sophomore
Hyun Su Price (Philadelphia, Pa.) and first-year
John Gunton (Lawrenceville, N.J.) claimed 3-0 victories in the two and three positions. Price held off
Harrison Yang, 11-9, 11-9, 11-7 while Gutton took care of
Samuel Lew, 11-4, 11-8, 11-0.
- After winning the first set in the top position, first-year
Mero Elmarassy (Santa Clara, Calif.) dropped a 4-11 set to
Blake Roshkoff, but Elmarassy won a tight 12-10 third set and took the match with an 11-4 win in the fourth set.
- Sophomore
Bobby Albani (Newton Square, Pa.) closed out the match in the fourth position with a thrilling five-set win over
Dawson Lin. Albani won the match with an 11-6 win in the decisive set.
UP NEXT:
- MIT will head to Charlottesville, Va. For the UVA Round Robin Tournament over the weekend. The Engineers will open against the host on Friday, December 1 at 6 p.m.
