-Â The Lead:Â The MIT squash team continued its hot start to the season as the Engineers earned their third third-straight 9-0 win as MIT defeated Northeastern on Tuesday evening at the Zesiger Center squash courts.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT did not drop a set in any of the nine matches.
- Sophomore Lars Barkman (Pittsburgh, Pa.) handled Ryan Lake in the fourth position with an 11-2, 11-3, 11-0 win.
- First-year Andrew Ding (Cambridge, Mass.) cruised to an 11-0, 11-0, 11-4 win in the eighth position.
- In the top position, first-year Mero Elmarassy (Santa Clara, Calif.) took an 11-2, 11-4, 11-2 win over Elias Paul.
UP NEXT:
- MIT will head to Central New York for a weekend of matches that begin on Friday, November 10 when the Engineers will take on Western University at 5 p.m.
