- Records: MIT (2-9), Husson (9-1)

- Location: Cambridge, Mass. (Rockwell Cage)

- The Lead: The MIT men's basketball team concluded its 2023 schedule with an 80-66 defeat against Husson in non-conference action on Monday night in Rockwell Cage. The Engineers had four players score in double digits led by a 19-point effort from first-year Will Bland (Virginia Beach, Va.).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Husson built a 17-point on a fast break three from Eric Ahlers that made it 24-7 at 11:21. An 8-0 run that featured four points from first-year Isaac Dobie (Kitty Hawk, N.C.) cut the Eagles lead to 33-23 with 4:26 left in the half, but the visitors held on to the double-digit lead and ended the half up 42-30.

- Jared Balser gave Husson a 19-point lead with a dunk at 15:51 to make the score 52-33. The Engineers began to chip away at the lead as a 12-3 run, punctuated by a steal and layup from first-year Michael Zhang (Jacksonville, Fla.) got MIT to within six with 4:11 remaining.

- The Eagles did not let MIT get any closer after the Zhang layup as a three from Derek Collins put Husson back up 10 and sealed the 80-66 win.
