The Lions extended that lead to six at 29-23 with 1:58 left in the first before a three from Minicozzi and a layup from first-year Parker Spann (Omaha, Neb.) pulled MIT within just one. The final points of the half came with just two seconds on the clock as first-year Rome Delgado-Gonzalez (Miami, Fla.) knocked down a pair of free throws for the 30-29 score at the break.
