The Lead: In the championship consolation final of the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships Summers Cup, the No. 17 MIT squash team earned a thrilling 5-4 victory over No. 22 Hobart to wrap up the team season. The Engineers went 2-1 overall at the CSA Championships.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT grabbed 3-0 wins in the top two positions from senior
Eli Kramer (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and first-year
Hyun Su Price (Philadelphia, Pa.).
- Hobart won in the three and fourth positions and took wins in the eighth and ninth spots.
- Senior
Matt McManus (Philadelphia, Pa.) won in straight sets in the sixth slot and junior
Yos Wagenmans (Seattle, Wash.) took a 3-1 victory in the seventh ladder.
- The match was decided in the sixth ladder between junior
Nikhil Kakarla (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Roberto Vega. The two competitors went the full five with Kakarla rallying from two sets down to take the 3-2 win and give MIT the 5-4 match win.
- McManus, Kramer and Kakarla were all named Scholar All-Americans.

- Individual members will await to see if they are selected to compete in the CSA Individual Championships which will take place from March 3-5 at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
