The Lead: The MIT women's lacrosse team defeated Emerson College, 26-1, in NEWMAC action on Saturday. Senior
Lindsey Gambino (Garden City, N.Y.) led the Engineers with eight points on four goals and four assists. For the Lions,
Grace Danehy posted one goal and two draw controls.

- MIT rattled off 11 goals in the first quarter and added six more in the second for a 17-0 advantage at halftime.

Monica Petulla (Natick, Mass.) opened the third quarter with back-to-back goals as first year
Nina Petulla (Natick, Mass.) earned the assist on the second strike. Danehy put Emerson on the board with 8:59 on the clock, but the Engineers generated three goals to take a 22-1 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

- MIT tacked on four more goals during the last 15 minutes of play. Junior
Helen Propson (Edina, Minn.) scored twice as sophomore
Sydney Pyon (Garnet Valley, Pa.) registered a goal and an assist on a blast by

Gwen Flusche (Ridgewood, N.J.) posted one goal, six assists, and two groundballs. First year
Ashley Thomas (Summit, N.J.) generated three goals and three assist while junior
Meredith Arterburn (Cooksville, Md.) registered three goals, one assist, and six draw controls. Pyon collected 10 draw controls as senior
Ellie Rabenold (Cincinnati, Ohio) produced four goals and two caused turnovers. Junior
Katie Bell (Radnor, Pa.) paced the Engineers with three caused turnovers.

Nina Khosla totaled 10 saves, two groundballs, and one caused turnover.

- Rabenold recorded the 100
th goal of her career, becoming the 16
th player in program history to reach this milestone. Her tally currently stands at 101 goals.

- Both teams take on non-conference opponents in their next outings. MIT travels to No. 5 Tufts University on Wednesday, April 5 for a 4:00 p.m. game. Emerson, meanwhile, will host Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Tuesday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m.
