The Lead: With a 25-0 victory over Clark University on Saturday, nationally ranked No. 25 MIT captured the NEWMAC women's lacrosse regular season title for the first time in program history. Senior
Lindsey Gambino (Garden City, N.Y.) led the way for the Engineers with four goals and six assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Gambino set up junior
Meredith Arterburn (Cooksville, Md.) for the first goal of the game after 13 seconds expired. MIT generated 13 more goals during the first quarter as first year
Nina Petulla (Natick, Mass.) capped the frame with a player-advantage strike with 22 seconds remaining.

- The Engineers added five goals in the second stanza, resulting in a 19-0 margin at halftime. Sophomore
Sydney Pyon (Garnet Valley, Pa.) produced two goals and an assist while first year
Ashley Thomas (Summit, N.J.) earned assists on blasts by Gambino and Pyon.

- MIT recorded three goals in both the third and fourth quarters.

- Pyon finished with four goals and three assists as first year
Gwen Flusche (Ridgewood, N.J.) tallied one goal, four assists, and two groundballs. Senior
Ellie Rabenold (Cincinnati, Ohio) registered four goals, one assist, and five draw controls while Thomas totaled two goals and two assists. Sophomore
Julianne Flusche (Ridgewood, N.J.) posted four goals as Arterburn collected six draw controls.

Abigail Kolyer (Manhasset, N.Y.) made one save in the first half while first year
Molly Dulde (Delafield, Wis.) closed out the game and did not face any shots.

Meghan Fogarty notched three draw controls and one caused turnover as
Greer McCarty recorded two caused turnovers and one groundball.
Annie Battle posted two saves and two groundballs during the first and third quarters while
Victoria Holden made one save while playing the second and fourth quarters.

- This was the second time in program history MIT has held an opponent scoreless. The first was a 20-0 victory at the University of Dallas in 2014. The Engineers also tied the program record for goals in a game.
