- The Lead: No. 7 MIT men's swimming and diving team went across the river for a meet against Division I Boston University and claimed six event wins. The Terriers won the meet by a 159-128 score.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Senior
Jaden Luo (Austin, Texas) got the first win for the Engineers in the 200-yard free with his time of 1:40.01. Senior
Brian Li (Austin, Texas) followed in third (1:41.72).
- Senior
Arnold Su (Irvine, Calif.) posted a season-best time with his second-place time of 55.28 in the 100-breast.
Thomas Wu (Cedar Park, Texas) followed in third with a mark of 56.34.
- Senior
Tobe Obochi (Highland Park, Ill.) won the 50 and 100-free events. He posted a winning time of 20.44 in the 50 and clocked in at 45.23 in the 100. Sophomore
Eugene Jiang (Baton Rouge, La.) took fourth in the 100 with a time of 47.15.
- Su won the 100-fly as he touched the wall in 49.95. Sophomore
Theo Chen (Plano, Texas) finished third with a time of 50.66 followed closely by sophomore Wu in fourth (50.84).
- First-year
John Tietjen (Leawood, Kan.) took the top spot in the 500-free with a time of 4:40.11, .66 seconds ahead of second.
- In the diving events, first-year
Jack Tucker (Naples, Fla.) finished second on both boards. He scored 177.53 on the three-meter and 193.05 on the one-meter.
- MIT wrapped up the day with a victory in the 200-free relay. Obochi led off by Su and Luo. Sophomore
Evan Liu (Woodbury, N.Y.) brought the win home as the team finished in 1:22.46.

- MIT will host No. 3 NYU and No. 17 Williams on Friday, January 26 at 2 p.m. at the Zesiger Center Pool.
