Mike Ewing (Mendham, N.J.) scored 19 points, and junior
Spencer Lin (Menlo Park, Calif.) added 12 points and nine rebounds however, MIT fell to WPI, 88-61, on the road on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- WPI opened the game with a quick 7-0 run and achieved its largest lead of the half, as a tip-in layup from
Jack Bleier gave the hosts a 26-12 advantage at the 9:50 mark. First-year
Isaac Dobie (Kitty Hawk, N.C.) kick-started a 7-0 run that featured a three from sophomore
Tim Minicozzi (Belmont, Mass.) and free throws from Ewing to cut the WPI lead to 26-19.

- Dobie got MIT to 33-24 with his seventh point of the half at 3:33, but WPI held MIT at bay in the half as they took a 40-30 lead into the halftime break.

- The teams traded threes to open the second half with
Andrew Lufkin hitting for WPI and first-year
Michael Zhang (Jacksonville, Fla.) making his shot to make it a 43-33 game. A three from Ewing at the 13-minute mark cut the WPI lead to 59-44, and Lin made it a 59-46 game with a jumper at 12:34.

- A 12-3 run put WPI up 71-49 and the home team claimed the 88-61 win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Minicozzi joined Ewing and Lin in double-figures finishing with 11 points.

- The MIT bench scored 30 points in the game led by Ewing's 19.

- WPI had three players score in double-figures led by
Aidan Callahan with 16.
John Adams finished with 13 and
Donovan Sevilla added 10.
