- The Lead: In its second meet against top-15 competition in as many days, the fourth-ranked MIT men's swimming and diving team fell to No. 13 Tufts, 157-136 on Saturday afternoon at the Zesiger Center Pool.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT opened the meet with a second and third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of sophomore
Theo Chen (Plano, Texas), senior
Jaden Luo (Austin, Texas), senior
Arnold Su (Irvine, Calif.), and senior
Tobe Obochi (Highland Park, Ill.) took second with a final time of 1:30.21. First year
Aitor Arrese-Igor (Delray Beach, Fla.), junior
Jacob McCarran (Pittsburgh, Pa.), sophomore
Thomas Wu (Cedar Park, Texas), and sophomore
Evan Liu (Woodbury, N.Y.) followed with a mark of 1:31.85.

- Arrese-Igor set a personal best time with his second-place finish in the 100-back as he clocked in at 49.40. Sophomore
Zack West (Kailua, Hawaii) finished in third with a mark of 50.61.

- Su took the top spot in the 100-breast with a time of 56.11.
Â
- In the 200-fly, Chen finished in 1:51.53 for a second-place finish followed by first year
Nathan Zhu (Lexington, Ky.) in third with a time of 1:53.36.

- Obochi achieved an NCAA B Cut mark with his win in the 100-free as he touched the wall in 44.91.

- West grabbed a B Cut mark with his win in the 200-breast (1:48.92) as he narrowly defeated
Eric Lundgren who finished in 1:49.00. Arrese-Igor clocked in with a time of 1:51.31 for third.

- Junior
Roderick Huang (Cupertino, Texas) dominated the 200-breast with an almost three-second win. He finished in 2:02.44 while
Bora Calis finished with a time of 2:05.19.

- The Engineers swept the top spots in the 200 IM led by first year
Jason Wang (Brentwood, Tenn.) with an NCAA B Cut time of 1:50.39. He was followed by Huang (1:52.73) and Arrese-Igor (1:53.90). Â

- MIT ended the day with a victory in the 200-free relay. The team of Liu, sophomore
Eugene Jiang (Baton Rouge, La.), Su, and Obochi finished with a time of 1:21.69 with Obochi anchoring the team with a time of 19.44.

- MIT will host its final meet of the regular season when the Engineers welcome Amherst to the Zesiger Center Pool on Saturday, February 3rd for a 1:00 p.m. meet. Â
