HOW IT HAPPENED:

Merlin Gogolin (New York, N.Y.) with 2:36 left in the half put MIT up 26-22, and his layup with 18 seconds gave MIT a 27-26 advantage.  Amado hit a jumper as time expired to send the teams into the break with MIT holding onto a 29-28 lead.
Â
- Â Babson grabbed the lead early in the second half, and the teams continued to exchange the lead. First-year
Michael Zhang (Jacksonville, Fla.) converted a layup with 12:04 left to tie the game at 43, and two free throws by classmate
Wyatt Mowery (Winston-Salem, N.C.) gave the Engineers a 45-43 lead.
