SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The No. 6 MIT women's soccer team notched its fourth NEWMAC win and seventh shutout as the Engineers earned a 2-0 road win over Springfield on Saturday afternoon on Brock-Affleck Field.
Senior
Meagan Rowlett (Dana Point, Calif.) notched her 50th career goal and is the third player in program history to score 50 or more goals. She is tied with Karenna Groff for the second most all-time.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Junior Sean Luk (Bel Air, Md.) raced into the box and sent a pass to sophomore Arianna Doss (Houston, Texas) who tipped the ball into the goal at 17:05.
- Rowlett extended the Engineer lead when she took a cross-box pass from Doss and found the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season at 51:38.
- The MIT defense held Springfield to just two shots in the second half.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Doss is tied for the team lead with six goals and leads the team with 12 points.
- Rowlett now has 11 points while Luk has a team-leading six assists.
- Sophomore Cassidy Jennings (Sioux Falls, S.D.) made one save to earn her seventh win and second shutout.
- Senior Taryn Ryan (Holyoke, Mass.) made seven saves for the Pride.
