WORCESTER, Mass. – No. 15 MIT generated four goals in the first half en route to a 5-0 victory over Clark University in a NEWMAC field hockey game on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore
Ingrid Tomovski (Bosch en Duin, Netherlands) scored twice while junior
Bailey McIntyre (Concord, Mass.) produced one goal and one assist for the Engineers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Senior Eva Oppenheim (Tiburon, Calif.) put MIT on the scoreboard when she tapped in the rebound of her saved shot just 3:54 into the game. The Engineers increased their advantage less than four minutes later when sophomore Audrey Oh (Longmeadow, Mass.) scored on pass from senior Ashley Lederman (Villanova, Pa.) during a penalty corner.
- McIntyre was a factor in MIT's next two goals which occurred during a span of 4:35 in the second quarter. Tomovski redirected a feed from McIntyre during a penalty corner in the 23rd minute while McIntyre gave the Engineers a 4-0 advantage with a solo effort in the 28th minute.
- Following a scoreless third quarter, Tomovski recorded the final goal of the day in the 49th minute.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Sophomore Maeve Zimmer (Rockville, Md.) was not forced to make a save in the first half while senior Anna Duncan (St. Louis, Mo.) turned away two shots in the second half.
- The Engineers ended the day with advantages in shots (44-6), shots on goal (26-2), and penalty corners (14-4).
