HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Engineers continued to pressure the Cougars' defense and MIT finally broke through to tie the game when junior Sean Luk (Bel Air, Md.) sent the corner kick into the front of the goal where senior Emiko Pope (St. Louis, Mo.) flicked the ball in at 73:34.
  • Just a short time later off another corner, this time taken by senior Ashley English (Sheboygan, Wis.), senior Lauren Davis (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) got her head on the ball and put it past the Clark keeper to put MIT in the lead at 74:54.
