HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Engineers opened the match with 3-0 wins in positions five, seven, and three.
- First year Zachary Starr (Dover, N.H.) kicked it off for MIT with an 11-1, 11-4, 11-4 win, and junior Stephen Shin (Atlanta, Ga.) followed with an 11-2, 11-4, 11-5 win over Sean Gregg. Junior Bobby Albani (Newtown Square, Pa.) won his match 11-3, 11-3, 11-2.
- Sophomore JJ Detweiler (St. Thomas, Virgin Islands) made it 8-0Â with his 11-1, 11-6, 11-3 win in the eighth ladder, and junior Hyun Su Price (Philadelphia, Pa.) wrapped up the match with an 11-5, 11-7, 11-4 win in the second ladder.
