LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 13 Franklin and Marshall squash team defeated No. 16 MIT 8-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Mayser Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Diplomats earned 3-0 wins in ladders 1-6 and the ninth position.
• MIT got on the board in the final match as first year Eddie Xue (Westport, Conn.) toughed out a five-set win over senior Samuel Freed (Wellesley, Mass.) in the eighth position. Xue won the first two sets but Freed rallied to win the next two before Xue took the decisive set by a 12-10 score.
