AUSTIN, Texas – Graduate student
Aidan Hallinan (Carlsbad, Calif.) of the MIT men's soccer team has been named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) First Team Academic All-American the organization announced. This is Hallinan's first Academic All-America honor.

Hallinan is a Nuclear Science and Engineering major and boasts a 3.92 GPA. He is a member of the Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps and is a Nuclear Submarine officer and was commissioned in May of 2024. He was a Test Engineer for Unmanned Aerial Systems at Shield AI and worked at the MIT Lincoln Labs U.S. Special Operations Command. Hallinan is a two-time captain of the team, and is on the MIT ROTC Oversight Committee and a member of the Phi Beta Epsilon Fraternity.

On the field, Hallinan earned NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference. He finished the season with a career-high six goals and 14 points while scoring three game-winning goals. He started 18 games for the Engineers on the back line and helped the Engineers allow one goal or fewer in 11 of 19 matches.
