The Lead: In the opening round of the B Division Hoehn Cup at the 2024 College Squash Association Team Championships, the No. 19 MIT squash team earned a thrilling upset win over No. 14 Colby as the Engineers took the match by a 5-4 score and advanced to the semifinals of the B Division for the first time. This will be the best finish in program history as the CSA Team Championships for MIT.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Mules grabbed wins in the top two spots by 3-0 scores.

- Sophomore
Bobby Albani (Newton Square, Pa.) took a 3-0 win in the sixth position and senior
Yos Wagenmans (Seattle, Wash.) won 3-0 in the ninth slot.

- Colby notched 3-1 wins at seven and eight, however, MIT responded with 3-1 victories by first year
John Gunton (Lawrenceville, N.J.) and senior
Collin Wen (Short Hills, N.J.), who rebounded from a first set loss to win the next three.

- In the fifth position, junior
Tom Hogan (Malvern, Pa.) recorded his third straight win as he defeated
Sen Subramaniam, 3-1, to seal the win for MIT.
