The Lead: Competing against Trinity College and Bates College on Sunday morning, the MIT men's lightweight crew team won the Varsity 8+ race and finished third in the Second Varsity 8+ event.
INSIDE THE RACES:
- MIT edged out Trinity by 1.7 seconds, taking the V8+ victory in 6:10.2. Bates, meanwhile, followed closely behind in 6:13.3.
- In the 2V8+ race, Bates and Trinity got off the start quick as they battled it out down the course. The Bates bow ball crossed at 6:25.2 as Trinity was only 1.7 seconds behind with a time of 6:27.2. The Engineers raced hard coming in at 6:42.0.
