- The Lead: The No. 25 MIT men's tennis team's 2024 season concluded in the Regional Championship of the NCAA Tournament as the Engineers fell to host and seventh-ranked Middlebury, 5-0.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

- Middlebury took No. 3 and No. 2 doubles by 8-1 scores. First-year Grant Gallagher (Irvine, Calif.) and graduate student Daniel Papacica (Carmel, Calif.) fell in No. 1 doubles by an 8-4 margin as the Panthers went into singles with a 3-0 lead.
 
- Middlebury took wins in courts five and six to win the match.
 
- Senior Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) held a 6-4, 5-2 lead in No. 1 singles when the match was concluded.
