Ashley Lederman (Villanova, Pa.) powered the Engineers with two goals and one assist as sophomore
Ingrid Tomovski (Bosch en Duin, Netherlands) produced one goal and two assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lederman opened the scoring when she redirected a feed from Tomovski on a penalty corner after 32 seconds elapsed. Sophomore Janie Thomas (Houston, Texas) increased MIT's advantage in the ninth minute courtesy of a pass from Lederman.
- Despite controlling the action, the score remained unchanged until the 52nd minute when Tomovski found the back of the cage during a penalty corner. Lederman added another penalty corner goal which was set up by graduate student Katharina Jager (Mettmann, Germany) with 2:36 remaining. Jager capped the scoring with 54 seconds left when she connected on Tomovski's pass during a penalty corner.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Sophomore goalie Maeve Zimmer (Rockville, Md.) turned away one shot in the shutout.
- The Engineers ended the day with advantages in shots (32-2), shots on goal (18-1), and penalty corners (16-5).
- This was the second year in a row MIT defeated UNE by a 5-0 score.
