CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- A 10-0 stretch to open the fourth propelled Trinity College to a 70-64 non-conference win over MIT women's basketball on Tuesday night at Rockwell Cage. Senior
Kamsi Nwogu (Algonquin, Ill.) led the charge for MIT with 22 points and 12 rebounds on 8-of-13 shooting. Sophomore Olivia Vick (Chicago, Ill.) paced the Bantams with 22 points and six made three pointers while classmate Madi Forman (Natick, Mass.) recorded a 16 point-17 rebound double-double.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bantams started the game with 17 of the first 20 points, including five points from junior Melissa Whitmore (Hanover, N.H.), Vick and Forman.
- The Engineers cut it to 17-9 by the end of the opening stanza with a 6-0 run as Nwogu went 4-for-4 at the line.
- MIT made it a four-point game at 20-16 with a three and two free throws from junior Kaya Weiser (Villanova, Pa.) and a Nwogu layup. The Engineers further trimmed their deficit to a single point at 27-26 with 4:46 in the second quarter on senior Angie Choi's (Cypress, Calif.) deep ball.
- With just under a minute to go in the half, MIT first year Deana Prasad (Cary, N.C.) knotted the game up at 33 apiece. That score would remain at the break.
- The hosts strung together a 10-4 run in the opening 4:14 of the third quarter. Senior Elise Harvey (Wayland, Mass.) scored six points during the stretch. MIT later established a 10-point advantage at 52-42. However, Trinity narrowed the gap 52-48 by the end of the third period with a late three from Vick.
- The Bantams launched a 10-0 barrage to begin the fourth. Vick scored five during the run and Forman completed the double-double.
- The Engineers came within five points (67-62) with 25 seconds remaining on a Nwogu three. Ultimately, Forman and senior Hannah Marzo (Shrewsbury, Mass.) sank key free throws to put the game out of reach for Trinity.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Choi registered a game-high six assists to help the Engineers.
- Trinity shot 24-for-58 (41.4%) from the field and connected on 10-of-24 (41.7%) three pointers.
- MIT went 14-for-15 (93.3%) from the charity stripe and scored an impressive 38 bench points.
- Each team made the most of its 12 respective offensive rebounds. The Engineers scored 12 second-chance points while the Bantams had 13.
