CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After over a month layoff, the No. 19 MIT squash team returned to action and dropped an 8-1 decision to No. 11 Tufts on Wednesday night at the Zesiger Center squash courts. Â
The two teams played four five-set matches.Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- The Jumbos jumped out to a 2-0 lead with wins in the sixth and second ladder. Junior Hyun Su Price (Philadelphia, Pa.) dropped a tough five-set match in the second position to sophomore Aarav Gill (New Dehli, India).Â
- Tufts followed with a 3-0 win in the fourth ladder and freshman Ali Tarek (Cairo, Egypt)Â earned a 3-2 win over first-year Eddie Xue (Westport, Conn.)Â in the eighth spot.Â
- The visitors secured wins in the first and fifth ladder to take a 6-0 lead and secure the match win.Â
- Junior Lars Barkman (Pittsburgh, Pa.)Â got the Engineers on the board with a 3-2 win in the ninth position. Barkman won the first two sets before sophomore Rohan Bhatia (Potomac, Md.)Â rallied and won the next two to send the match to a decisive fifth set which Barkman won, 11-9.Â
- Tufts won the final two matches for the 8-1 victory.Â
