CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Junior Adam Ivatorov (Rockaway, N.Y.) and sophomore Rick Lundh (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.) of the MIT water polo team have been named All-Americans by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC). This is the 10th straight year the Engineers have had at least two All-Americans. Ivatorov was selected to the second team while Lundh was an honorable mention.
Ivatorov earns his second All-America honor as he led the Engineers in goals (96) and ejections earned (81). He recorded 20 hat tricks and scored a career-high seven goals four times during the season while scoring in every game for MIT. His 96 goals are the second most in a single season in program history.
This is the first All-America honor for Lundh who scored a career-high 63 goals this season. He scored a career-best six goals three times during the season to go with 17 multi-goal games. He grabbed 34 steals and dished out 26 assists.
