CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT rifle team generated an aggregate score of 4,419, comfortably ahead of the University of Rhode Island (4,059) and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (3,780) in the DuPont Rifle Range on Saturday.
Eleanor Yang powered the Engineers with a victory in air rifle.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED - SMALLBORE:
- MIT tallied 2,158 points, followed by URI (1,977) and Coast Guard (1,851).
- Yang was the runner up with 549 points as William Knowlton finished fourth with a season-best 544 points.
- Phoebe Xu placed sixth (537), followed by Spruce Campbell (528), Avaneesh Pal (527), Danny Antonelli (511), and Jayden Lin (473).
- Perry Han rounded out the Engineers in 14th place with a score of 439.
- Pal recorded a career-high mark while Lin and Han made their intercollegiate debuts.
HOW IT HAPPENED – AIR RIFLE:
- MIT produced 2,261 points, followed by URI (2,082) and Coast Guard (1,929).
- Yang shot a career-high of 583 to take first place as Xu (565), Antonelli (557), and Knowlton (556) claimed fourth through sixth place, respectively.
- Campbell ranked eighth with a personal best total of 548 while Pal was next with 530 points. Evia Rodriguez captured 10th place with a tally of 526.
- Lin wrapped up the Engineers with 463 points to finish 14th overall.
