Women’s Openweight Rowing Concludes Fall Season at Head of the Fish Regatta

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The MIT women's openweight crew team racked up nine top ten finishes across six events competing at the Head of the Fish Regatta on Saturday on Fish Creek.

THE BASICS:

Women's Collegiate Double 2x-: 2nd of 11
Women's Collegiate/Open Pair 2-: 5th, 8th and 9th of 19
Women's Collegiate Eight 8+: 4th of 17
Women's Collegiate 2V Eight 8-: 3rd and 10th of 17
Women's Collegiate Four 4+: 5th, 16th and 20th of 41
Women's Collegiate Frosh/Novice Eight 8+: 4th of 17

RACE BY RACE:

Women's Collegiate Double 2x-: Kristen DiConza andElizabeth Jackson earned silver with a time of 13:34.859.
Women's Collegiate/Open Pair 2-: MIT's "B" entry of Darin Wilkowski and Lucy Greenup posted the best time among the Engineers three entries, finishing 5th(14:05.819). MIT's "C" entry was 8th (14:19.398) and the "A" entry finished 9th (14:25.728).
Women's Collegiate Eight 8+: The Engineers top eight raced to a 4th place finsih, completing the course with a time of 11:47.388
Women's Collegiate 2V Eight 8-: The MIT 2V "A" entry picked up another medal, taking 3rd of 17 in 12:08.694 to claime bronze. MIT's "B" entry was 10th (12:55.069).
Women's Collegiate Four 4+: The MIT "A" entry was 5th (13:03.257) in a crowed field of 41crews.The "B" entry took 16th (13:47.131) and "C" entry was 20th (14:15.260).
Women's Collegiate Frosh/Novice Eight 8+: The MIT's novices finished 4th of 17 teams in the field in 12:46.130.
