The MIT sailing team wrapped up its fall season with a busy four regatta weekend, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Terrier Invite.
SCHELL TROPHY | Cambridge, Mass. | 8th of 18
- MIT placed eighth with 238 total points.
- In the 'A' Division, Robert Ulmer and Ellie Pinto took seventh with 109 points and five top five finishes.
- Will Kulas, Andy Yu, and Elliott Chalcraft earned 129 total points to finish 10th in the 'B' Division. They had three top five finishes highlighted by a second-place finish.
URN TROPHY | Cambridge, Mass. | 9th of 15
- The Engineers totaled 192 points to take ninth overall.
- Brooke Barry, Christine Keedy Brown, and Sophia Woodbury steered the 'A' Division boat to an 11th place finish with 107 points. They collected three top five finishes.
- Karya Basaraner, Woodbury and Layla Bursor led the 'B' Division boat to a sixth-place finish with 85 points. They finished in the top 10 in all 12 races and had a top finish of fourth.
NICKERSON TROPHY | Medford, Mass. | 12th of 14
- Collecting 270 points, the Engineers finished in 12th place overall.
- Jan Mistak and Alice Colby took 12th in the 'A' Division with 134 points as they had two fifth place finishes.
- Kaitlyn Beaver, Ada Kilian and Diba Demir took 11th in the 'B' Division with 136 points with a best finish of sixth.
TERRIER INVITE | Boston, Mass. | 2nd of 18
- MIT finished second to Brown as the Engineers totaled 49 points while the Bears finished with 30.
- Ryan Hoffman and Bursor finished with 30 points in the 'A' Division to take fourth. They had four second-place finishes.
- Conrad Straden and Valerie Xin won the 'B' Division with 19 points, as they pulled ahead with wins in the final two races.
