The MIT sailing team earned a bid to the Open Atlantic Coast Championships as the Engineers finished eighth overall at the Open ACC Round 1A regatta over the weekend. The team also competed at the Stu Nelson Trophy where they captured tenth.

- The Engineers collected 104 total points on Saturday as racing was called off on Sunday due to lack of wind.
- Robert Ulmer and Ellie Pinto finished sixth in the 'A' Division with 51 points as they had two top five places.
- Will Kulas and Elliott Chalcraft took seventh in the 'B' Division with 53 points and three top five finishes.

- In the three division regatta, the Engineers totaled 203 points.
- The 'A' Division boat of Karya Basaraner and Sophia Woodbury took 14th with 81 points, highlighted by a third-place finish.
- Emma Wang and Layla Bursor earned a 10th place finish in the 'B' Division with 70 points that included two top five finishes.
- Kaitlyn Beaver and Alice Colby steered the 'C' Division boat to a sixth-place finish as they totaled 52 points with two top five finishes.

- MIT has another busy weekend from Saturday, October 11-Sunday, October 12 as the team will host the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship while also competing at the Savin Hill Invite and the Captain Hurst Trophy.
