SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The No. 4 MIT women's swimming and diving team earned a commanding 249 - 50 victory over NEWMAC rival Springfield College on Saturday at the Art Linkletter Natatorium. MIT swept all 17 events in the meet to take the win.  

THE BASICS: 

• Scores: MIT 249, Springfield 50 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• 200 Medley Relay: Olivia Chen, Sarah Bernard, Sydney Smith and Rachel Yang paced the field with a time of 1:50.03. 
• 1000 Free: Ella Roberson ran away with the distance free, winning in 10:58.38. 
• 200 Free: Smith picked up her first individual victory, winning the event in 1:53.94  
• 100: Back: Amberlynn Gong was the first of three MIT finisher to the wall in 1:00.97. 
• 100 Breast: Bernard added an individual victory with a time of 1:08.97. 
• 200 Fly: Mary Feliz finished in 2:08.63 to win the event, the first of three MIT finishers at the front.  
• 50 Free: Rachel Yang had the top sprint time in 25.02. 
• 1-meter Diving: Rookie Logan Yee was tops on the one-meter board, earning a score of 280.95 on her six-dive set. 
• 100 Free: Smith returned to win her third event, finishing with a time of 52.80. 
• 200 Back: Chen took the top spot in the event in 2:12.25 followed by Natalie Tang and Gong. 
• 200 Breast: Kathy Nie grabbed the victory in 2:31.19. 
• 500 Free: Roberson earned her second individual win of the event with a time of 5:13.59. 
• 100 Fly: Lillian Poag, Lauren Levy and Yang swept the top spots with Poag leading the way with a time of 59.89. 
• 200 IM: Daniela Petran earned the win with a time of 2:10.58. 
• 400 Free Relay: Yang, Emily Wu, Chen and Jessica Crane took the win in 3:47.76. 
• 400 IM: Feliz took the top spot in 4:36.74. 
• 3-meter Diving: Yee completed the sweep of the boards with a score of 288.53.

• MIT will host Bowdoin on Saturday, November 22 at 12:00 PM at the Zesiger Center. 
• The Bowdoin meet is the team's competition before the MIT Invite, December 5-7.
