No. 3 Harvard Hands No. 13 Squash First Loss of Season, 8-1

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 13 MIT squash team dropped an 8-1 home contest for its first loss of the season to No. 3 Harvard on Tuesday night at the Zesiger Center Squash Courts. 
 
THE BASICS:  

  • Score: Harvard 8, MIT 1 
  • Records: MIT (5-1), Harvard (2-0) 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • Harvard raced out to a quick 4-0 lead with sweeps in ladders two, four and six. 
  • Eddie Xue took the opening set 11-9 in the ninth position, but Ishant Shah won the next three.  
  • The Crimson won the next four matches by 3-0 scores. 
  • Hyun Su Price got the Engineers on the board with a thrilling five-set win to end the day. After dropping sets two and three to Denis Gilevskiy, Su Price rallied to win the next two sets11-8, 11-6 to take the 3-2 win.   

UP NEXT:  

  • The Engineers remain at home as they will welcome Colby College to the Zesiger Squash Courts for a 2:00 PM match on Saturday, November 22.
