DUDLEY, Mass. – An 11-0 run that opened the second quarter helped MIT pull away from Nichols College en route to a 62-41 victory in non-conference women's basketball action on Tuesday night.
Mary Lobon led all players with 18 points and 16 rebounds while adding five assists, two steals, and a block.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Entering the first quarter with a 14-10 lead, a layup by Monagoz Okorie sparked MIT's pivotal 11-point run. The Engineers eventually entered halftime with a 35-18 advantage following April Chan's buzzer-beating jumper.
- The third quarter was a defensive battle as both teams scored eight points.
- During the first half of the fourth quarter, MIT used a 14-4 run to create its largest lead of the night at 57-30 and put the game out of reach.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Chan tallied eight rebounds, seven points, four assists, and three steals while Riley O'Sullivan registered nine points and six rebounds.
- Ruth Lanouette contributed nine points and two steals in the victory.
