CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – During the past week, MIT senior
Kamsi Nwogu (Algonquin, Ill.) collected All-Region accolades from the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) and D3hoops.com. A first-time honoree, she was tabbed to the NEWBA All-New England Fourth Team and earned a spot on the D3hoops.com Region 2 All-Region Second Team.
Nwogu finished her career ranked fourth all-time in career points (1,361) and rebounds (794). Earlier this month, she was named to the NEWMAC All-Conference First Team, resulting in her third All-Conference award. Nwogu currently leads the NEWMAC and ranks fifth in the nation in field goal percentage (.598) while ranking third in the conference in points per game (16.0), fourth in points (400), ninth in rebounds (182), eighth in rebounds per game (7.3), and 12
th in blocks (23).
