CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT rifle team closed out the Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference (MAC) Championship with a runner-up performance in the air rifle competition as first-year
Eleanor Yang (San Jose, Calif.) claimed third in the individual competition on Sunday in the DuPont Rifle Range. The Engineers finished the two-day competition in third place, just nine points behind runner up URI.

HOW IT HAPPENED – AIR RIFLE:
- Mount Aloysius claimed the team title for the second day in a row with a total of 2,324 points, followed by MIT (2,262), URI (2,242), John Jay (2,240), Norwich (2,180), and Schreiner (2,055).
- Molly Miller (Mount Aloysius) won the individual crown with 593 points, closely followed by teammate Kayla Trinkle (587 points) and then Yang with a score of 582, which tied her personal best.
- Senior Rose Alsalman (Jericho, Palestine) also represented the Engineers in the top 10 as her score of 568 ranked eighth.
- Junior Danny Antonelli (Houston, Texas) and first-year Helena Dimiati (Plantation, Fla.) placed 14th and 15th with totals of 557 and 555, respectively. In addition, Dimiati's performance resulted in a personal-best mark.
- Junior Spruce Campbell (London, United Kingdom) rounded out MIT in 29th place with 529 points.
