CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT men's lightweight crew team concluded racing at the National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational on Sunday, competing in three races against Yale and Georgetown on the Albridge C. "Bud" Smith III '36 Memorial Race Course on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.

THE BASICS:

• V8+: 2nd of 3
• 2V8+: 3rd of 3
• 3V4+: 4th of 4

RACE BY RACE: 

• 3V4+: The Yale 3V finished first with a time of 6:52.2, followed by the Georgetown B boat in 6:57.9. Georgetown's A entry had a time of 7:00.9 while MIT finished fourth in 7:41.9.
• 2V8+: MIT took third in the second varsity eight, trailing Yale in first (6:06.8) and Georgetown in second (6:10.0). MIT was third with a time of 6:31.7.
• V8+: MIT was second in the varsity eight race trailing Yale by 4.7 seconds, with a time of 6:01.4, as the Bulldogs finished with a time of 5:56.7. Georgetown was third in 6:04.4.
