Women’s Openweight Crew Leads Patriot League With Three Academic All-Patriot League Selections

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – MIT women's openweight crew senior Emily Warren (Menlo Park, Calif.) and sophomores Elizabeth Jackson (Ivy, Va.) and Michelle Peng (Princeton, N.J.) have been named to the 2025 Academic All-Patriot League Team.

Eight of the nine Patriot League women's rowing member institutions were represented on this year's Academic All-Patriot League Team, with MIT leading the way with three selections. MIT's three honorees were the most for the Engineers since MIT had three student-athletes recognized in 2015. The most MIT student-athletes to earn recognition in a single season was four in 2014.

Navy senior Tenlea Radack was named the Patriot League Women's Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year. To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA (on a 4.00 scale) and be a starter or key player in their sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.

Warren, a Finance major with 5.00 GPA, was the stroke seat for MIT's second varsity eight at the Patriot League Championships, leading the Engineers 2V8+ to a third place finish in the Grand Final. Jackson, an Aerospace Engineering major with a 5.00 GPA, was the bow and Peng, a Materials Science and Engineering major with a 4.9 GPA, was the coxswain for MIT's Varsity 8+, as the Engineers earned runner-up honors in the Varsity 8+ Grand Final. Warren and Peng were also recognized as Patriot League All-League Selections

These honors recognize student-athletes who excel in their sport and the classroom. The awards are voted on by Patriot League sports information directors, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes. In addition to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, 36 members of the MIT team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
