NEW ORLEANS – The NCAA national champion MIT women's track and field team has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Indoor and Outdoor Scholar Team of the Year for the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Track & Field seasons, while recent graduate Alexis Boykin (Clayton, Ohio) was honored with the 2025 USTFCCCA Division III Women's Indoor Field National Scholar Athlete of the Year award.

Boykin, a chemistry and biology major who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.52, won both the shot put and weight throw at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field Championships, as she completed her MIT career following the outdoor championships as an eight-time national champion and a 16-time All-American.
Teams are required to have at least a 3.10 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter to qualify.
