No. 13 Squash Falls to No. 5 Yale, 9-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 13 MIT squash team hosted No. 5 Yale for the first time since the 1998-99 season and fell to the Bulldogs by a 9-0 score on Tuesday night on the Zesiger Squash Courts. 
 
THE BASICS:  

  • Score: Yale 9, MIT 0 
  • Records: MIT 8-3, Yale 2-1 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • Hyun Su Price won the second set in the first ladder against Tad Carney, but fell 3-1. 
  • In the third ladder, Mero Elmarassy won the first set 11-6, however Arav Bhagwati won the next three. 
  • The Bulldogs got 3-0 wins in four, six, seven, eight, and nine. 
  • Yale closed out the match with sweeps in the second and fifth slots. 

UP NEXT:  

  • MIT returns to action on Friday, January 23 when the Engineers will welcome the University of Chicago to the Zesiger Courts for a 5:00 PM match. Su Price will be competing at the CSA Individual Championships in New York City from January 23-25.
