CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 13 MIT squash team earned a decisive 8-1 win over No. 16 Middlebury on the Zesiger Center Squash Courts on Saturday afternoon. The Engineers notched their fifth win over a ranked opponent this season.  
 
THE BASICS:  

• Score: MIT 8, Middlebury 1 
• Records: MIT 10-3 Overall, Middlebury 8-5 Overall 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• MIT earned wins in the top six spots. 
• Rishabh Sharma and Isaac Torchinsky-Field recorded the only sweeps for MIT with 3-0 wins in the fifth and sixth ladders. 
• Hyun Su Price earned a 3-1 win in the No. 1 position while Ethan Chan hung on for a tough 3-2 win in the second position over David Zhao. 
• John Gunton and Mero Elmarassy both defeated their opponents by 3-1 margins in positions three and four. 
• Eddie Xue defeated Ronin Kaplan 3-1 in position eight while Sean-Winston Luo held off a Naum Lekovic comeback attempt in the ninth position to win the decisive set, 11-9.
