CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Despite dropping matches in ladders 1-3, the No. 12 MIT squash team held off No. 19 Franklin & Marshall to earn third place at the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championships (MASC), which were held at the McArthur Squash Center on the campus of the University of Virginia.
 
THE BASICS:  

• Score: MIT 6, Franklin & Marshall 3 
• Records: MIT 14-4 Overall, Franklin & Marshall 11-9 Overall 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• The Dips controlled the top portion of the ladder, going 3-0 in the top three slots. Positions one and three were tightly contested, with each going the full five sets.  
• MIT controlled ladders 4-9, dropping just one set.  
• Mero Elmarassy, Rishabh Sharma, Isaac Torchinsky-Field, Eddie Xue, and Sean-Winston Luo all won their matches 3-0 while Zachary Starr took a 3-1 victory.
