AMHERST, Mass. – The No. 13 MIT squash team earned a 7-2 road win over No. 16 Amherst on Friday night.  
 
THE BASICS:  

• Score: MIT 7, Amherst 2 
• Records: MIT 11-3 Overall, Amherst 10-4 Overall 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• Isaac Torchinsky-Field and Sean-Winston Luo grabbed early 3-0 wins in positions six and nine. Rishabh Sharma later followed with a 3-0 win in position five. 
• Mero Elmarassy defeated Graeme Herbert in position four, 3-1, while Zachary Starr also notched a 3-1 victory in the seventh ladder. 
• Hyun Su Price won the first two sets over Roman Parisi in the top position, but Parisi rallied to win the next two and force a decisive fifth set. Su Price would come out with the win, taking the final set by a 11-5 score.  
• Eddie Xue took a 3-0 victory over Grady Herbert in the eighth spot, 7-11, 8-11, 4-11. 
• Amherst got its win in No. 2 and No. 3.  

UP NEXT:  

• The Engineers are right back at it on Saturday, February 8 with a 12:00 PM match against No. 26 Wesleyan on the Zesiger Center Squash Courts.
