WORCESTER Mass. -- In difficult conditions with a strong cross-tailwind on Lake Quinsigamond, the MIT men's heavyweight crew team reclaimed the James Donahue Cup for the first time since 2022, defeating Williams, WPI, Washington College and Connecticut College on Saturday morning.

- The varsity eight reclaimed the Donahue Cup, winning a closely contested race over Williams by just over a half second. Williams had an early lead by a few seats and maintained the margin until the 1250mmark. The Engineers made a move over the remainder of the course, taking a three-seat lead before the sprint. Williams took two seats back as the teams pushed to the finish but MIT held on to win by .56 seconds.
