MARLBOROUGH, Mass.  – MIT's Pauline Vien was named the NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 12. This is the third time she has received this award and the second this season.
 
In a 2-0 week for the Engineers, Vien recorded 17 saves, a .447 save percentage, and three groundballs. Last Tuesday in a 16-13 win over Endicott College, she collected nine saves and one groundball. Vien then posted eight saves and two groundballs in a 19-8 victory against Babson College on Saturday.
 
MIT returns to action on Wednesday, April 15 when it hosts NEWMAC foe Wheaton College at 5:00 PM.
