Elizabeth Jackson captured the MIT/BC Cup for the second consecutive season as MIT earned a runner-up performance in the First Varsity 8+, racing against Boston College, UMass, UConn, Sacred Heart and host Holy Cross on Saturday on Lake Quinsigamond. MIT only trailed UMass (6:29.5) by 2.5 seconds but had a 2.8-second edge on third-place BC to claim the cup. MIT has now won the MIT/BC Cup in each of the past two seasons after winning it last season for the first time since 2022.Â
MIT will race this weekend against Bates College in Lewiston, Maine in the team's final race before theÂ
2026 Patriot League Women's Rowing Championship on Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J., on Friday, May 15. The winning team receives the Patriot League's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship.
